TAMMER KAMEL

Iluka's president has spent most of the past 10 years working on the inside of hedge funds. In 1997 he joined a pioneering Japanese asset management firm at inception where he served as director of risk management and as a fund of funds portfolio manager. He designed and implemented trading models and risk management systems for fixed income arbitrage, convertible arbitrage and statistical arbitrage. He risk managed $500 million dollars. He has designed and managed several $100 million hedge fund portfolios. He has conducted comprehensive due diligence on hundreds of hedge funds and researched thousands. He is an expert in hedge fund risk management and hedge fund strategies. He has written and lectured extensively on hedge fund issues. Educated as a computer engineer, he started his career in 1995 with Citibank analyzing interest rate derivatives. Today he helps clients navigate the hedge fund space by advising on high level allocation decisions as well as single fund selection and evaluation.
